Time leaps. Origins. A Time Trip into Salzburg´s Prehistory

A time trip into the orgins of settlement in Salzburg Land: archaeology opens up the eventful prehistory of the Alpine region, which provided a great variety of cultures of the Alpine region, which provided a great variety of cultures and populations with an evironment for living and settlement. Time leaps give us a close-up view of the environment, the life and death, the religious ideas and the economy of the Sone, Bronze and Iron Ages. Valleys and rivers, montains and raw materials shaped people´s lives and their settlement: their livelihood and indeed prosperity were based not only on agriculture and livestock husbandry but also copper and salt deposits. Salzburg has been part of a European communication area for 12.000 years.
