WW1 Commemorative Day

The Beacon Museum is holding a day of commemorative activities on Saturday 31st January as part of its West Cumbria in World War One exhibition. The highlight of the day will be Food from the Trenches with local celebrity chef, John Crouch. John will be demonstrating typical recipes from the World War One period throughout the day. This family friendly day will appeal to visitors of all ages with ongoing craft activities including making trench periscopes and writing letters from the front. Visitors can drop into the gallery anytime between 11am and 3.45pm to take part and entry to the exhibition and all of the activities in the Harbour Gallery, is free.
