The 'gansey' - the distinctive, seamless, woollen pullover traditionally worn by seamen and fishermen is the focus of this exhibition from the Moray Firth Gansey Project. The project set out to find, record and conserve gansey patterns from the Moray Firth coast, introduce the craft - and the area's wider fishing heritage - to new audiences and pass on the skills to a new generation. The exhibition features a wide range of gansey patterns and pattern combinations which the fishing communities made their 'own'.
Alongside these are contemporary interpretations of the patterns by today's designers. The exhibition is accompanied by a book and DVD.
