From The Tiger Who Came to Tea to Mog and Pink Rabbit

A retrospective of Judith Kerr whose vast body of work includes the popular Mog series and The Tiger Who Came to Tea, as well as her autobiographical novel When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, which charts her childhood fleeing Hitler's Germany in 1933 with her family, and travelling in Switzerland and France before arriving in London. As part of the exhibition a selection of Judith's early childhood drawings will be on display, showing how she became the well-loved artist and author we know today.

Judith Kerr's first picture book, The Tiger Who Came to Tea (published in 1968), was written as a bedtime story for her own children and soon became a classic. By the time it celebrated its 40th

anniversary in 2008, it had been translated into 11 languages and had sold over five million copies.

Original artwork, notes and sketches from The Tiger Who Came to Tea will be on display in the exhibition. Plus, little visitors can have tea with a life-size tiger in Sophie's kitchen or read the adventures of Mog curled up inside her cosy basket.
