On the occasion of 100th anniversary of the beginning of the WW I the Archaeological museum in Zagreb will be joining the project of the commemoration of this important event on a national and European level by an appropriate exhibition. The Numismatic department of the AMZ keeps numerous objects associated to this important date, for example the then current money (Austro-Hungarian, Serbian, Russian, German…), but also applied and artistic medals inspired by the WW I, which reflect the spirit of the age. The decorations awarded by the nations involved in the conflict, also kept at the AMZ, will also be displayed. Finally, the National Council had donated various objects to the AMZ (the un-awarded Austro-Hungarian decorations of higher ranks, money…), which will also be displayed.
