Beautiful Bees and Bugs - Mini Exhibition

Monday 4th to Monday 18th August A beautiful mini exhibition of the myriad of bees in Britain. Cath Hodsman is a skilled and widely acknowledged British wildlife artist. She is a technically accomplished natural history artist, specialising in entomology. Cath uses her skills in painting and drawing to champion conservation causes in the natural world. There is an urgency to prevent the decline of bee populations and this requires raising awareness which Cath does through her art. Some of Cath’s favourite British Bees are the Buff Tailed B.B (Bombus terrestris) the Honey B. (Apis mellifera); Cuckoo B. (Namadaflava); Common Carder B.(Bombus agrorum); White Tailed B.B. (Bombus lucorum) and Red Tailed B.B. (Bombus lapidarius), all of which feature at this mini summer show in the museum Hare gallery.
