The display panels have been put together by Surrey Heritage and include food in the Stone and Iron Ages, Roman delicacies like milk fattened snails, early and late medieval farming methods and digging for victory.
Also on display are items from the Museum’s collections, including a 19th century white bone china tea set hand decorated with orchids adapted from James Bateman's Orchidaceae of Mexico and Guatemala. The tea set, from the Olive Matthews Collection, was last on display at the Royal Botanical Gardens Kew during one of their annual orchid events.
