Just Another Day: Photographic Exhibition

Whether joyous celebration or quiet meditation, festivals give meaning to ordinary days in the calendar year. This exhibition of photographs by Glasgow Museums’ photographer Jim Dunn explores the rich diversity of religious life in 21st Century Glasgow. Taken at a variety of locations around the city, the photographs capture the fascinating ways in which festivals are celebrated in Glasgow. From the solemn, silent Good Friday procession, to the dazzling colours and fireworks of Dusserah, this exhibition highlights the meaning attached to these festivals that makes them more than ‘just another day’.
