MONUMENT

MONUMENT is a collaboration between four English and French institutions dedicated to the commemorations on either side of the Channel of the 100th anniversary of the First World War, as well as to the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landings. Exhibitions, performances, events, talks, publications and conferences are planned. The project involves more than 30 contemporary artists all of whom make work about the idea of the Monument. The Monument exhibitions will be in four locations: - Musee de Beaux Arts, Calais, France - FRAC Basse-Normandie, Caen, France - Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich, UK - Undercroft, City Hall, Norwich, UK
