The Polar Museum presents a selection of works from its own collection of Inuit art, including stone sculptures and prints which feature domestic and hunting scenes capturing a vanishing way of life and reveal the daily struggle to survive for the indigenous people of Northern Canada. Elegant birds, polar bears, caribou and narwhal figure alongside scenes from summer and winter camps. The print works convey a wonderful sense of humour and focus on life as it once was for the people who lived on the land.
