This permanent exhibition showcases the turbulent history of Biržai, its manors and the castle. During a very long period Biržai was ruled by the Radziwiłł family. These aristocrats have left their mark on the history of the region and they were also prominent figures of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. On display there are 16th and 17th century tiles, maps by Lithuanian cartographers depicting Biržai and the castle, portraits of Radziwill family and a large model of the castle. The most monumental item is the restored 17th century tile stove.
