Hidden Treasures: China
As part of the national ‘Hidden Treasures’ event, Collections Officers at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery will be hosting three talks revealing some of the museum’s collections which remain hidden from the public and sharing the stories behind them. The Schiller Gallery is filled with treasures from China, which are often overlooked. This talk focuses on why Emperors, Kings and collectors treasured these objects, and what stories lie hidden behind their symbolism.
