Summer Hols Monday 22 July-Friday 30 August, 11am-4pm Drop-in, free, all ages Mon 22-Fri 26 Jul Ancient Worlds hands-on activities, part of the Festival of Archaeology Fine tune your archaeology skills as you explore our dig boxes and find out more about pot reconstruction. Create an ancient Greek paper plate to take home. Tues 23, Wed 24 & Thurs 25 Jul, 12-4pm Clay Amulets Create your own clay amulets (lucky charms) inspired by the museum’s collections. Mon 29 Jul-Fri 30 Aug Nature’s Library activities Explore the newly opened Nature’s Library gallery and enjoy hands-on craft activities inspired by the collections Mon 29 Jul-Fri 9 Aug Junk Model Creatures Make fabulous junk model creatures inspired by the Nature’s Library gallery using card, paper, tubes & bottles. Create creatures from the sea, forest or dessert. Wed 7 Aug National Play Day Enjoy playful surprises inspired by the museum’s collection Wed 7, 14, 21 & 28 Aug: Warriors of the Plains Visit the Warriors of the Plains exhibition and enjoy activities for all the family, ranging from storytelling to beadwork. Wed 7, 14, 21 & 28 Aug: Design beaded jewellery, 1-4pm Create your own beaded jewellery inspired by the Warriors of the Plains exhibition. Mon 12 Aug–Fri 23 Aug Sock Pets Get crafty and create your very own sock animal inspired by the Nature’s Library gallery Mon 26 Aug-Fri 30 Aug Creature Collages Draw, colour, cut and stick to create a fabulous collage of all your favourite animals and plants
