Show of Agriculture

From Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st September 2014, we are hosting the annual Agricultural Show, recreating a typical country show from the early 1900s. This event forms part of the month long Festival of Agriculture, which celebrates the agricultural and rural heritage of the North East of England.

From goats, geese and Gordon Highlanders to Farriery, Falconry, Fur & Feather and everything in between the show promises to be a fantastic four days of all things rural.

Here is just a taste of some of the things we've got planned for the event;

  • Visit our craft marquee and watch the experts at work, there will even be a chance to have a go yourself!
  • See the prize winning entries to our industry section.
  • Get your marching orders as the Gordon Highlanders set up their encampment at the show.
  • Meet the stunning alpacas.
  • You'll be 'buzz-ing' when you see our bee-keeping demonstrations.
  • Prepare to duck and dive with our bird of prey flying demonstrations featuring the world's largest eagle and an assortment of vultures!
