The Children Who Cheated the Nazis is the story of how 10,000 children escaped the Holocaust. It documents their harrowing journey to England, the forgotten heroes who made their escape possible, the love and caring of strangers and the resilience of the children. This traumatic rescue became known as the Kindertransport. Through personal interviews, viewers discover what happened to the families of these fleeing children and how they themselves survived in their strange new world. The film is narrated by Lord Richard Attenborough, whose family took in two Kindertransport children, and has been broadcast worldwide. The screening will be followed by a question and answer session with the film's director and producer and one of the film's interviewees, Bea Green.
