This year’s International Museum Day is dedicated to the theme Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion. Slovenian museums celebrate it digitally this year, with a joint E-exhibition. Slovenian Theatre Institute – Theatre Museum joins the joint E-exhibition with a presentation of the remains kept in our museum from the site of the Narodni dom in Trieste, which was burnt down by Italian fascists a hundred years ago, on 13 July 1920.
In Pursuit of a Theatre. From the Jesuits to Cankar, our permanent exhibition offers a beautiful view of the beginnings and the main currents of Slovenian theatre, its integration with European cultural activity, and its role in the forming of the Slovenian national consciousness.
