Coastal Communities Museum

At the Coastal Communities Museum there is plenty of local history objects, images and documents on display to help visitors connect to the past. Drop in to see old favourites such as the Robert Louis Stevenson (RLS) exhibit, the 1902 Bass Rock Lighthouse Lens and the Beach Hut. The RLS and pirate themed family area are full of activities for children. Visitors will be able to discover new displays on • Modern and medieval pilgrimages • Local geology, what shaped the landscape and how the land has been used over the centuries especially for agriculture • School days - a fitting feature given the museum occupies the former school rooms! • The end of the First World War, to coincide with the national programme of commemoration. The Museum is open through to the end of November. Days and times vary seasonally; please check www.coastalmuseum.org for details or find us on Facebook.
