Christmas at Haslemere Museum

Haslemere Museum has a host of festive events planned this Christmas. On Sunday 2 December, the Museum opens for the Haslemere Christmas market where there will be an abundance of stalls and activities, including face painting and even Santa will be making an appearance. The Museum tea room will also be open for seasonal treats too. During the week leading up to Christmas, Santa's Victorian Parlour will open from Thursday 20 December where children can visit Santa as he takes time out before Christmas to relax in his charming Victorian parlour. Your little ones can tell him all their special Christmas wishes and each child will receive a gift to take home. The Haslemere Mummers return on Saturday 22 December when they will give a special 50th anniversary performance of this traditional local Christmas folk play, full of colourful characters and comic drama. Throughout December, there will be lots of festive workshops for children taking place including Early Years for under 5s and Museum Explorers for children aged 5-11 years. Younger visitors can also enjoy the ’12 Days of Christmas’ trail whilst exploring the galleries. The Museum shop will also be open and stocked with a fabulous selection of festive decorations and greetings cards, stylish ladies accessories, gifts for men, delicious homemade jam and honey, beautiful stationery, traditional children's toys, stocking fillers and books for all ages - so get Christmas all wrapped up and find presents for your friends and family. Why not treat them to a Museum gift membership - the perfect present that lasts all year! For more details, visit www.haslemeremuseum.co.uk
