Requiem

A unique collaborative creation featuring 280 Norfolk students performing their own work alongside brand new music by composer Sarah Freestone with the BBC Concert Orchestra at Great Yarmouth's iconic Hippodrome Circus. The Requiem touring exhibition, artwork, and creative writing have been created by local students based on their own research working with partner organisations Norfolk Museums, Norfolk Libraries, Norfolk Record Office, and Writers Centre Norwich. Students attended workshops with the BBC Concert Orchestra supported by Norfolk Music Hub to write their own compositions, and media students are making a film of the project and the performance mentored by BBC Voices. The project and performance is co-produced by Orchestras Live and Creative Collisions Youth Arts Network. Funded by HLF and Norfolk Music Hub.
