Set in his home in a Black Country scrapyard, the Tat Man weaves his tales, transporting audiences to places in his mind by means of story and song. From true tales of the Black Country, the plot leads inexporably into the real and terrifying landscape of the First World War. Here human dreams are shattered, and the Tat Man must find the pieces of his demolished dreams; dreams of his times, of his life.
