May Half Term at Haslemere Museum

There’s plenty of activities for all the family this May half-term at Haslemere Museum. Museum Explorers takes place on Tuesday 29 May where young visitors can discover more about the amazing wildlife that lives in the Museum’s beautiful spring fed pond. On Saturday 2 June where not come along and enjoy a morning of rockets to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the first manned flight of a rocket powered aircraft. The sessions run from 10.30am – 12pm and are suitable for children aged 5-11 years – parents do not need to stay. (booking advisable). Early Birds takes place on Wednesday 30 May. A friendly morning session enabling families with children who have an Autism Spectrum Condition to enjoy the Museum free from the hustle and bustle of the public. The Museum will open early at 9am until 10am and families can explore the galleries at their own pace and in a calm, relaxed environment. There will also be the opportunity to handle special objects too. Don’t miss the family drop in event on Thursday 31 May when Mill Cottage Farm comes to the Museum! There will be a selection of very friendly farm animals to feed, groom and stroke in the Museum's beautiful gardens. There will also be a range of arts and crafts activities too. The event runs from 11.00am to 3pm so why not bring a picnic and stay for lunch! The galleries are full of interactive fun too including quizzes, puzzles and dressing up available every day as well as backpacks offering a variety of activities for children to do whilst exploring the galleries.
