Who owns history?: David Olusoga and Dan Snow in conversation

Almost half a century since Kenneth Clark’s original 1969 television series Civilisation, the role of history in our society has profoundly changed, with a multiplicity of new stories, voices and perspectives emerging in how it is researched and told. In this special event, acclaimed historian and presenter of the BBC’s new Civilisations TV series, David Olusoga, joins broadcaster and historian Dan Snow to discuss the question of who owns history, and the role of marginalised histories in reshaping a singular narrative of history into a plurarlistic one.
