The Pioneer of Panto

What’s Christmas without a pantomime? When Handel moved into his house on Brook Street, John Rich was entertaining the London crowds with a new form of theatrical comedy. For the first time ever at 25 Brook Street, Handel House presents an extra special evening of Georgian pantomime, harlequins and ballad opera. All of this will take place in different rooms of the house. It’s panto, the like of which hasn’t been seen in London since the 18th century.
