British generals and Indian independence

Drawing upon the papers of General Sir Reginald Savory, General Sir Rob Lockhart and General Sir Roy Bucher, Alastair will examine the role played by each of these army commanders during the Partition of India in 1947-48. Alistair Massie is the Head of Academic Access at the National Army Museum.
