Franciscan Museum and Gallery Gorica – Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Friday, May 19th 2017, FMGG-Livno
The foundation of this year's Day and Night of the Museum at the FMGG will be the symbolism of the unSpoken in the poetry of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. Both artists marked the year 2016 in different ways: Dylan as the winner of the Nobel Prize for literature in 2016, and Cohen, who left us forever on November 7th, 2016. For more than half a century, Dylan and Cohen, through their music and poetry, spoke strongly about religion, love, adultery, depression, injustice in society, politics and war. Through protest and love songs, they influenced many generations to the present day and spoke about what is often unspoken in different societies, loudly reconciling even that which seems incompatible.
