Museum after Hours

New for 2017! The perfect way to end the week... Come and enjoy the museum after hours with live music, poetry, drinks... and of course art! This May we will have fabulous live music from Fiddlebop - FiddleBop plays hot jazz swing with gypsy zing! Sparkling songs; terrific tunes; the wit, repartee and banter of the rip-roaring 1930s... brought bang up to date. There will be live poetry from Ruth Stacey, a Worcestershire 'poet, writer, lecturer and book geek', whose poems "evoke voices long silenced, and the very essence of these past lives and the ages in which they were lived" (Alison Weir) The popular David Cox and his Contemporaries exhibition will be open, celebrating the life, work and influence of one of the West Midland's greatest painters. Visit a rarely seen collection of paintings by David Cox alongside beautiful artworks by Constable and Turner from the British Museum. Free entry, no booking required.
