The Story of Ironie

Ironie is a children's story written and illustrated by Harry Brearley, the discoverer of stainless steel. The original manuscript is held in the museum’s collection as a unique example of Brearley's desire to explain his scientific discovery to young people. The Story of Ironie uses storytelling, theatre, music, multi-sensory props, magic and puppetry to create this exciting interactive family performance. Join us this half term, Tuesday 21st February. Performances at 10.30am and 11.30am. Suitable for ages 3-8 years. £1 per child. Also enjoy a 'Make & Take Tuesdays' craft activity - help us build the River Don Engine! Normal adult museum admission applies (adults £6, concessions £5).
