Former Curator Jocelyn Barker has had a long held interest in the brewing businesses and public houses of the Borough, and has offered to talk about the local firm of Daniells which started out in Addlestone.
Frank Daniells came to Surrey in the early 1890s to take over a mineral water factory in Addlestone, later moving to larger premises in a former Chertsey brewery. Jocelyn's talk will explore the lives of Frank and his family, together with the history of the factories where they worked, with a slight detour into the history of local breweries!
