Takeover Day 2016

We will work with pupils from St Vincent's Catholic Primary school. The Year 6 class will work with our press and marketing team to write a press release in advance. On the day the year 4 class will takeover the front of house, shop and some of the Ground floor galleries. They will be apart of the front of house team welcoming visitors, tell then about the museum, in the shop they will price items and help the gallery team keep the collection safe. At 1pm the Young Curators, also from St Vincent's, will give the daily public tour. The school newspaper club will cover the tour and write a blog for the Wallace Collection website. The Young Curators will also meet the Head of Education to help plan family activities for our public programme. In the evening the Wallace Youth will host a young peoples private view of the current exhibition 'The Middle- Tom Ellis at the Wallace Collection'. They are planning the event now and are in charge of all aspects of the evening.
