Spain has long been the favourite of British holidaymakers so to tie-in with our current Thomas Cook exhibition we are inviting you for a Spanish experience.
A one-off chance to hear live traditional Spanish music inside the museum, try homemade sangria & nibble on the nation’s favourite tapas. You might even learn something new about the history of the guitar and our country’s most popular sunny spot!
Our musicians Nat Reading and Ross Mclean have travelled from London to play a mixture of classical Spanish guitar solo pieces and duets.
For guitarists interested in learning Spanish techniques or anyone who enjoys this unique and emotional sound of the Spanish guitar, here is your chance!
Explore our current Thomas Cook exhibition in a unique atmosphere. Learn about British travel through the ages, play a giant version of Thomas Cook Game of Europe from the 1970s, and see our life-size replica of the 19th Century Japanese rickshaw brought back from the round the world tour.
Enjoy sangria made with Spanish wine, try a bite of Tortilla Española, and find out what a holiday brochure to Spain looked like in the 1930s!
