At The Learning Lab and throughout the galleries, The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge.
In this workshop be inspired by the colours and rich history of learning in The Beaney to create the ultimate icon of knowledge : your very own book!
To create your book you will be encouraged to explore colour and experiment with a range of mono- printing, stencil, cut-out, and vinyl layering techniques, to make simple folded book structures compiled in the galleries.
Participants will use ideas from Grayson Perry’s tapestries as a starting point for their imagery, followed by a session making work inspired directly from objects in The Beaney collections. The resulting prints and collages will be organised and folded into simple but striking book structures.
