Class and Art - All in the best possible taste with Holder and Lamoon!

A lively, open debate, inspired by the Grayson Perry exhibition 'The Vanity of Small Differences', pondering the probably unanswerable questions 'What is Art?' and 'What is Class?' And further, how important is it that we belong to a 'tribe'? Why do we like what we like? Holder and Lamoon are practicing artists working and exhibiting in Kent. For 8 months during 2014 they were Beaney Armchair Artists in Residence culminating in the highly acclaimed Beaney Front Room exhibition 'The Essence of Memory'. Holder and Lamoon describe themselves as Stuphists, making Stuph from stuff. Participants will find it very useful to have previously visited the Grayson Perry exhibition. Holder and Lamoon invite participants to bring to the discussion a photograph or art work that they like (or dislike). 'Tasteful' cakes and tea will be provided! www.holderandlamoon.com www.stuphism.co.uk
