Priory Tours

Discover the fascinating world of the Monks of Prittlewell Priory with a Saturday tour this summer. Why did they wear black? What did they eat? Why did they use sign language? The tour gives you a glimpse into the life and world of the monks and includes a look at the remaining site – weather permitting! This is an opportunity to explore part of the rich history of Southend. Tours begin from the Priory Visitor Centre. Booking essential. Although tours are primarily aimed at an adult audience, children are welcomed and can count a tour towards one of the activities on their Museum Explorer Passport.
