Introduction to the Mosaics of Roman Corinium

Afternoon Talk with Emma Stuart Wednesday 10 August, 2.30-3.30pm The Roman mosaics of Corinium include some of the finest to have been unearthed in the country. Over 90 are known from the town and although many remain in situ, most of the important mosaics are now in the Corinium Museum. This lecture highlights some of the wonderful mosaics in the Corinium Museum collections, the sites they came from and what we can learn about Roman life from their discovery.
