The Flintham Museum looks at rural life through the eyes of a village shopkeeper and tells different stories through unsold shop stock and advertising material. This year the theme is the English garden and the four seasons are displayed in a recreated shop window. Expect a riot of colour and keep your eyes open for flashes of humour and quirky features. To continue the theme, 12 village gardens are open to the public one weekend in June so visitors will be able to enjoy a bit of history, lots of wonderful gardens and home made cakes at the village hall.
