Best-loved children's illustrator for the award-winning 'Story of Tracy Beaker' and author of 'Ketchup on your Cornflakes?' and 'Elephant Wellyphant' will be visiting for the launch of our family-friendly summer exhibition.
Meet Nick and buy one of his many colourful books for him to sign, before designing some pretty Pants to add to the art gallery washing line, race against the Hundred-Mile-An-Hour Dog and make a 3D bookmark to take home with you.
There are even illustrated outfits – become a wacky illustration from sporting some fancy pants to dressing up as a pineapple!
Special summer workshops will be running throughout the holidays too, from our clay character workshop, to the drawing-with-an-illustrator masterclass, as well as scrap-tastic collaging.
'Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants' is a free, hands-on exhibition which will be open until the 3 September at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, with a whole summer's worth of tremendous welly-tastic activities and games for families to look forward to.
Budding artists can peek at Nick's school work and original sketchbooks in his recreated studio and pinch a few of his techniques such as sketching on his light box, or even create their own 'Sharracter'.
