Labour Pains conference: Intra-Party Tensions and Divisions, from Cole to Corbyn

The University of Sheffield is hosting a conference at the People’s History Museum that will examine past and present tensions within the Labour Party. The day will explore inter war debates around whether the party should sell socialism or create socialists, the rise of militancy in the 1980s and current disputes over the direction of the party. Accompanying the conference will be a display in Main Gallery Two of the museum, which will include items from PHM’s collection relating to this history.
