COMMEMORATING WWI

To mark the centenary of the Great War we present: Faces of the Great War - photographs from the period of Exmouth men who took part Flying Ace - Douglas Carbery MC DFC was credited with 6 Air to Air combat victories. He survived the War and had a long and distinguished military career. We are exhibiting his badges and medal ribbons and photographs taken by Carbery of himself and colleagues and of downed German machines. We also have a model of a Royal Aircraft Factory BE 2c similar to one that he trained on and later flew on the Western Front.
