A Royal Salute

Stretch your legs, stretch your brain cells, and most importantly have some fun whilst solving the clues in our majestic museum trail – some of our big guns have surprising noble associations. Set within 19 acres and featuring the tunnels, Parade, Ramparts and galleries, there is plenty for all the family to explore at Fort Nelson. Then get creative in our sticking, making, cutting royal @make and take’ craft workshop. As a celebratory gun salute each day, the 25-pr quick firing field gun will be fired by the uniformed detachment Ubique. The detachments will be available after the firings to talk about the gun and its history.
