Philip Eglin is one of the UK’s foremost ceramicists. His work is inspired by great paintings, old pots, children’s drawings or plastic bottles and he enjoys working with museum collections. Slipping the Trail is an exhibition of new works, on tour from Aberystwyth University, based on their nineteenth century slipware collection, much of it from Buckley in North Wales. He exhibits internationally and was awarded the Jerwood Prize for Applied Arts in 1996. His work can be found in numerous public collections.
