mima and Investing in People and Culture (IPC) invite you all to join us for viewings and discussions at our monthly film night.
This month we watch Hyènas, a film by Director Djibril Diop Mambéty.
Hyènas tells the story of an aging, wealthy woman who revisits her home village of Colobane to find it has fallen on hard economic times. The woman makes a proposal to help the town financially on one condition. The director adapts a timeless story of human greed into a satire of Africa today.
Screenings are followed by informal conversations about some of the issues raised in the film.
Feel free to bring snacks to share.
