The Earth Laughs in Flowers

Celebrate the beginning of spring with a joyful evening of words and music with mezzo-soprano Pippa Dames-Longworth and Nicholas Bosworth at the piano. Enjoy pieces by Handel, Fauré, Bizet, Gilbert and Sullivan, Ivor Novello, Joyce Grenfell and Rudyard Kipling all in the perfect setting of the Music Room. Pippa’s career has taken her throughout Europe and beyond. She has sung for The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, English National Opera, Paris Opera, for SkyArts, the BBC Proms and for the Edinburgh International Festival. ‘Irresistible gripping theatre, with a vigorously projected performance from Pippa Dames-Longworth.’ The Times ‘Spellbinding…my annual treat’ Peter Florence, Director, Hay-on-Wye Festival Doors open at 7.30pm and the performance starts at 8pm. Ticket includes a glass of white wine/soft drink in the interval.
Admission
£32.50, members £28.50, book in advance (includes a glass of white wine/soft drink in the interval). You can buy tickets by telephoning the Events Booking line on 03000 290902 (Mon-Fri), in person at any of our venues or you can buy tickets online. You can also email visitor.services@brighton-hove.gov.uk if you have any queries. A £1.50 booking fee may apply to some events. Tickets cannot be reserved without payment. Please book early as an event may be cancelled if too few tickets have been sold.
