Artists-in-residence Muneaki Shimode and Takahiko Sato from Kyoto, along with Tim Toomey from the UK Kintsugi Project, will talk about the ethos behind Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with sushi (Japanese lacquer) and powdered gold. The talk will also include a demonstration of the process. This Spotlight marks the culmination of a 10-day Kintsugi project at the Pitt Rivers Museum.
