Through to the gentle pencil drawings of Thomas Burton, drawn by his daughter Mary, to whom The Burton owes it's name and is in remembrance of. Over the years portraits have captured and recorded the sitter's status, beauty, trade, wealth. heritage and other qualities, many of the portraits in The Burton's collection tell a similar story.
