People have long turned to magic to cure illnesses, predict the future and find love. Professor Dionisius Agius, Dr Alex Mallett and Dr Catherine Rider from the University of Exeter will explore this fascinating history by introducing new research on magic and its relationship to the Inquisition in Malta and considering how this compares with other cultures, including some of the ‘magical’ objects in RAMM’s collections.
