Deirdre Murphy, Senior Curator at Historic Royal Palaces, will give an intriguing insight into the way that Queen Victoria used not only her own dress, but also orchestrated that of her family and her courtiers, throughout her life to convey different messages at different times. The lecture will take place in the Fashion Museum gallery, close to an original dress worn by the Queen towards the end of her reign, which is now part of the Fashion Museum collection.
