Folk at the Foundling: Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick

Two legends of the British folk scene perform a new collection of traditional songs and instrumentals. The remarkable pairing shook up the British folk scene in the 1960s, ushering in a new era of instrumental folk music, and bring a mature yet dynamic sound to our beautiful and historic Picture Gallery. In this intimate gig, Swarbrick’s instrumental virtuosity provides a sensitive accompaniment to the vocals and guitar of Carthy, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2014.
