Heritage Open Days: Lark Hill Place at War

Join research student Jaclyn as she takes you through the changes that would have happened to Lark Hill Place during the First World War. How were shops affected, what happened to the families left behind when the men went off to war, what roles did women begin to adopt in the workplace and in nursing? We will also look at how the decor and objects in the street might have changed between its current setting of 1897 and 1917. This event is part of Heritage Open Days (link is external) and will be a walking tour around Lark Hill Place. Please meet in the museum reception.
