This exhibition was originally in celebration of International Women’s Day on the 8th March 2015 and the Centenary of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom but has been extended due to popular demand. The exhibition explores the efforts of women and women’s groups throughout history to campaign for peace and equality. It also highlights how women’s groups have been at the forefront of many campaigns, in particular women’s groups have formed much of the opposition to nuclear weaponry. The display is also an extension of our permanent Greenham Common exhibit.
