Salute to the '40s

Time-travel back to the 1940s with your family and experience what made Britain ‘Great’ during the Second World War. The organisers of Salute to the ‘40s are preparing to take visitors back in time to the 1940s by filling The Historic Dockyard Chatham with wartime period and vintage displays and entertainment on 19th and 20th September. This atmospheric event will transport visitors back to the wartime years of Great Britain for a truly nostalgic Home Front spectacle. With all-day entertainment across three stages, hundreds of re-enactors, vehicles and informative displays there will be something for everyone as The Historic Dockyard streets are brought to life with the sights and sounds of the 1940s.
